By invitation of the Architectural Institute Rotterdam (AIR), Monadnock, in collaboration with the Technical University of Delft (TUD), department Public Buildings, developed a format of analysis and drew a series of huge hybrid urban buildings. The selected series shows typical historical examples in Rotterdam and compares them with examples from other parts of the world. The architectural drawing forms the basis of this publication. The layering of functions and systems of circulation are visualised in sections, axonometries and plans, offering insight in the public inner-worlds of these buildings.
