The installation of the tent-like ceiling elements means the new office for Royal Tichelaar in Makkum is taking shape. Monadnock created a new interior space within the factory building that was designed in 2006. The office, previously situated in a different location, will now have a strong connection with the production floor. In a pratical as well as a visual way. The custom made ceiling refers to tent rooms. It filters the daylight entering through the roof and hides all technical equipments.
In the town of Nieuw Bergen construction of the Landmark building has started. This project is an evolution of the 'Belfort' design which can be seen in the selected projects section of the website.
Of houses is an online platform for old forgotten houses, initiated by Daniel Tudor Munteanu. Monadnock was invited to contribute with a collection of forgotten houses, and selected ten residential projects from The States in the period between 1960-1970

This new issue of OASE magazine sheds light on a set of modernist
architectural approaches that have languished in the shadow of their
canonical counterparts. In this way, OASE offers points of departure for
rethinking contemporary design attitudes. The so-called shadow
canon epitomises an alternative set of design sensibilities and
attitudes toward typology, tectonics and composition and advocates the
presence of tradition as a means of rearticulating the modern. This
double edition of Oase will have great relevance for a contemporary
national and international discourse and practice characterised by a
relentless search for more nuanced approaches to the built environment.
Edited by Tom Avermaete, David de Bruijn, Job Floris
The issue will be presented in deSIngel on the 25th of march.
