PRIZE-WINNING PROPOSAL FOR CHI-DESIGN COMPETITION IN CHICAGO 08.10.15

Monadnock is among the five winners of the international ideas competition for a new architecture centre for Chicago. Our proposal 'The Oculus' centralizes the building as main didactic tool for learning about architecture through direct experience, by offering a wide range of examples, fragments and space-types.

BUILDING PERMIT FOR 'ATLAS HOUSE' GRANTED 25.09.2015

The building permit for a tower-like residence in the city of Eindhoven has been granted, construction works will start in October 2015.

MONADNOCK PARTICIPATES IN MASTERCLASS BRICK 24.09.2015

MONADNOCK CONTRIBUTES TO FORUM NO.9 15.09.2015

BOOK OF COPIES IN ZURICH 26.08.2015

The fourth iteration of the Book of Copies exhibition will take place in Zurich, as part of the 'Kopie, Pastiche, Collage - Architektonische Verfahren der Aneignung' show, curated by Elli Mosayebi and Martin Steinmann.  Book of Copies comprises sets of A4 black-and-white photocopies made available to viewers to copy and assemble; becoming receptacles of a collective form of knowledge provisionally called “architecture”. Organized according to a precise set of rules by a multitude of producers, the books of copies are based on an inherently derivative and collective effort, starting with a simple act of accumulating formal knowledge, namely “collecting”. This exhibition was developed in collaboration with the Architectural Association, London.

MONADNOCK CONTRIBUTES ESSAY TO FESTIVAL DELL'ARCHITETTURA 01.08.2015

On Behalf of Andreas Kofler / Weltgebraus, Monadnock was invited to contribute an essay for the Italian online-magazine Festival dell'Architettura. The article 'Broader than Broadway' elaborates on the tension between architecture and urbanism, by describing the appearance of wedge-shaped buildings in urban grids.
