The offices of Royal Tichelaar have been moved from a monumental building in the heart of Makkum to the factory complex Monadnock finished in 2006. All parts of the company are now concentrated on one site, maximizing interaction between the offices and production facilities. The interior design for the offices creates a sense of security and intimacy in the utilitarian factory space. The textile ceiling refers to classic ‘tentrooms’ and distributes light in a smooth and equal way across the interior. Through the glazed walls views at the production facilities are offered from any corner. On the exterior a monumental stairway was added to mark the new main entrance of the building.
