On wednesday 9th of February 2011 The National Historic Museum will present the publication ‘Sketches for a new National Historic Museum’ in the Zuiderkerk in Amsterdam. This bundle of ideas forms the result of an intensive conceptual study on an ‘open’ museum. This publication by SUN-publishers and The Berlage Institute, contains proposals of architecture firms 51N4E (BE) baukuh (I) and Monadnock, introduced by essays of Kenneth Frampton, Hans Ibelings and NHM-directors Valentijn Byvanck and Erik Schilp.
